i just finished the handmaid's tale for the first time, obviously terrifying but especially in the recent political climate. i'm looking for more dystopian books (besides the classics of course) so if anyone has recommendations send them my way!! i want to read the Parable of the Sower next! :)
I just finished Malibu Rising! It’s my second TJR book after Daisy jones, and i really enjoyed it! It was a quick read, but i sort of loved of quickly it moved, and the feeling that it was all going to come to a boiling point at any moment. Such a great summer read!
thank u so so much, this is so gracious! my favorite summer book has to cmbyn. while the problematic age gap has soured the memory a bit, i remember being younger and reading it on the coast side while questioning my own identity.
I read the book Bunny by Mona Awad beginning of this year and could not put it down! And ive been super excited for the next book. Her writing is my favorite. Anyways my fav summer memory so far has been reading in my hammock in the park near my place and people watching!
My favorite book I’ve ever read was one I read in middle school: Turtles All the Way Down (John Green). I’ve never found a story that felt so real to me and so comforting in my mental illness. In the book, Aza has OCD and I didn’t have a word for how my brain works. I try and reread it once a year, my copy is ridiculously beat up and full of notes from the years
I just finished My Death by Lisa Tuttle and so, so recommend! I’m not sure how to explain the impact it had on me but it will be ruminating in the back of my mind for a long time.
Read I Who Have Never Known Men earlier this year and was entranced the entire time. Was surprised just how captivated I was by it and how much it has stuck with me. Also loved Tomorrow, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.
My favorite summer read from the required summer reading lists was The Glass Castle and Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. These books weren't my first introduction to non-fiction, but the first non-fiction books that I really enjoyed and made me more open to one of my now favorite genres!
I know it might be cliche but I loved Beach Read by Emily Henry, read it last summer on a …wait for it…beach and it indeed was a great read! ♥️ this giveaway opportunity is so cool
I don't know if its my favorite summer read, but its my current summer read and I am loving it so I am counting it. I'm currently reading The Bombshell by Darrow Far and its just REAKS of summer and youth. And it also has some amazing historical context and commentary on colonialism.
not the wheel picker (notoriously anti-sarah)
luckily since i’m not an option it will go perfectly

A favorite summer read: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart!
Funnn!! I’m currently reading The Years by Annie Ernaux, one of the best memoirists of the century 🥰
A Touch of Jen by Beth Morgan is a wild read that takes place over a summer surfing trip to Montauk. I’m so excited for the new Bunny book
